What is the Game Night Fee?
Vigilante’s core value of adding board games to a restaurant is not in a game library, but in the space we provide and the duration of your stay. To alleviate a table turnover time that is much longer than the industry average, we have a $5 “Game Night Fee” for all patrons:
- This is a per-person fee
- It covers unlimited access to our library for the duration of your stay
- Patrons are welcome to bring their own games, but the Game Night Fee will still apply
- This fee is effective after 4pm Monday – Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday
- Our lunch special ($8 for two sliders and fries!) still includes free games!
- There is a “Dine-In Exemption”: if your stay is under an hour or you sit at the bar you will not be charged
- Free Game Night will still be held every Tuesday
What is a board game bar?
Vigilante seamlessly combines dinner, beers and board games! Bring your friends or come meet some fellow nerds of drinks and games: we provide a game library, local craft beers, wine, sake, a menu of gastropub food from our scratch kitchen, and incredible, unique gaming tables.
What is the Game Library?
Our board game library has a huge selection (over 200!) of board games for you to peruse. We have a wide variety of games, from social party games like Cards Against Humanity to famous euro games likes Settlers of Catan. We reorganize all our games into wooden boxes and sub-containers to ease setup. We maintain each game through regular inspections, ordering replacement pieces and whole games. Finally, we are constantly tracking our most popular titles to keep multiple copies on hand to reduce wait times for current favorites.
What does the game library cost?
Access to the Game Library comes standard with our $5 “Game Night” fee. Patrons are welcome to bring their own games, but the Game Night Fee will still apply
Can I bring my own games?
There is a $5 Game Night fee for all patrons which comes with access to our 200+ title library. Patrons are welcome to bring their own games, but the Game Night Fee will still apply
Note: There is a “Dine-In Exemption” if your stay is under an hour or you sit at the bar you will not be charged
Where do I park?
Parking is available in the parking garage directly across from our storefront. If you can’t find parking down below, there is always plenty of parking on the roof!
What do you mean by Gaming Tables?
You won’t find anything like them anywhere in the world (that we know of). Our tables feature roll-out food and drink holders, a meeple drawer, card holders, a service call button, power and ethernet outlets, and even a switch to alert other patrons that you’d be open to them joining your game. It’s one of the most novel social experiences in Austin.
Can I rent out Vigilante for a private event?
Yes you can! For more information see our private rentals page, or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
What are your hours of operation?

Do you have happy hour?
Weekdays from 4pm to 7pm we offer $4 Texas Draft Beers (excludes ciders, meads and rotating taps), $5 sake bombs and $6 for two appetizers (not including our chicken strips).
What are your age requirements/ Are kids welcome?
We are not designed with children in mind. Kids are welcome before 10pm, but we are 18+ after 10pm. WARNING: many of our games feature adult content, and your neighboring tables will not be censoring themselves. We are a bar atmosphere.
It doesn’t exist. But if you must, speak to a host.
