We are looking for an up-and-coming kitchen professional who is ready to step into leading a small kitchen. Our team creates unforgettable game nights for our patrons while serving high quality pub fare and nerdy craft cocktails. We are looking for a Kitchen Manager who is a strong fit with our company culture: nerdy service industry veterans.

    Responsibilities Include:
  • Organize each service by assigning stations/tasks and communicating updates to all kitchen staff
  • Manage and support the Prep Cook to ensure that all menu ingredients are prepared for the upcoming shift
  • Lead the kitchen staff from the line and/or expediter station during shift to prepare perfect plates in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain station cleanliness and assist with kitchen dish washing as needed
  • Place and receive orders as well as work with vendors to keep our pantry and refrigeration stocked
  • Enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards within the kitchen
  • Coordinate creation of food specials and seasonal items to assist in cost control and revenue generation
  • Complete weekly inventory and control food costs through cost control techniques and execution
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
  • Assist in hiring and termination of kitchen staff
  • Train new employees and coach current employees to develop their skills
  • Schedule staff shifts

  • 5+ years professional cooking experience
  • Previous experience in a leadership role
  • Passion for working with quality ingredient to create delicious food
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry best practices
  • Current Texas Food Handlers Certification
  • Serve Safe Food Manager Certification
  • LGBTQ+ welcoming Recommended:
  • Experience with spreadsheets

  • A killer kitchen playlist Compensation is $19-$21/hour, commensurate with experience, paid weekly. 36-40 hours a week. $600 sign on bonus paid in two installments after 30 days and 90 days of employment.
